Chris G Blowes FRMetS, MInstLM - Director |
Chris is a co-founder and Director of Weather Commerce Ltd. He oversees the day to day running of the Business, including Accounts and Administration.
Chris entered the Royal Navy in 1974, and specialised in Communications. In the early 1980's he joined the Fleet Air Arm's Meteorology and Oceanography Branch.
He spent a number of years at sea and at the Fleet Weather Centre, including a period of time at the School of Maritime Operations instructing in Oceanography.
His main interests are following the 'Boro' and motorcycle touring with partner Hayley on his Harley Davidson Electra Glide Ultra Classic. |

Cdr Dai B Roberts BSc(hons), FRMetS, J.P. RN Rtd. - Director |
Dai is a co-founder and Director of Weather Commerce Ltd. He oversees the Operational side of the Business, including the Forecasting Team, Quality Control and product management.
Dai has a vast amount of experience in meteorology, and has forecasted in most parts of the world, including Antarctica and the South Atlantic whilst serving in the Fleet Air Arm.
Dai was also Head of Meteorology and Oceanography at the NATO Base in Lisbon Portugal.
His main hobby is flying his Gyrocopter - the 'flying shoe', as well as singing in his local Male Voice Choir. |

Paul Reid - Director |

Paul is a Director of Weather Commerce and CEO of the New Zealand Metrological Service “MetService” and “Metra” its international trading subsidiary.
Previously Paul has worked in Aviation, Forestry and Management Consultancy.
Paul is based in Wellington, New Zealand. |

Will Owen BA, MBA, MRAeS, FRMetS, MCIM, MIAM - Director |
Will is a Director of Weather Commerce and General Manager of Metra (Europe, Middle East & Africa).
Will has extensive experience in the meteorological field, having founded a London-based specialist weather risk-management consultancy and held a variety of posts at the UK Met Office.
These included Head of Strategic Business, Utilities Programme Manager and Head of Commercial Aviation. |

Tony Ramsay - Company Secretary |
Tony Ramsay is Energy Market Manager for Metra Europe. Prior to joining Metra in 2007, Tony spent over eleven years as an observer and forecaster support for the UKMO, traveling to locations such as the Falklands, Ascension Island and spent five years on tour in Germany. These roles were mainly supporting RAF peace time operations and the Balkans conflict.
In 2001 he moved into a commercial role at UKMO Head Office. Settling in to the Utilities Team and focusing on energy clients, undertaking larger key accounts as well as targeting new areas of growth. His main clients were Eon, British Gas (Centrica), Merrill Lynch and Macquarie Bank.
Tony spends his spare time enjoying family life with his 3 young children, as well as a strenuous fitness regime of Mountain Biking (2 wheels, 1 helmet, no idea!), running (stumbling around in shorts) and swimming (flailing around in water).
Tony is excited about the opportunity for personal and professional growth through Metra’s relationship with Weather Commerce.
